Moving is not an easy thing to do, especially when you have as much stuff as I do. Interestingly, there was even less stuff in my room at SFH when I left than when I arrived. I'm not worried about the house surviving without me, though I was rather concerned when we only had 15 people living there when we had room for more than 30. I don't know who's going to fill my shoes as house electrician, though.
Renting a U-Haul truck was a very good idea. Even with stuff boxed up and a lot of it going to other people or to the trash, the truck was still quite full. The back of the truck was only about 2 inches wider than the bookshelf was tall, ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92) the_jackdaw_man. It just barely fit in there laying on its side.
This is my first entry posted from Hutchinson. I finally set my computer back up this evening, hence the delay in writing. I feel like making/finally finishing a music video. With two monitors effectively giving me a 3200x1200 pixel desktop, I'll have plenty of room to work. Maybe I'll redo Aenema or finish that Escaflowne/A-Team theme video that's been sitting unfinished on my computer since I can't remember when.
I do miss Lawrence. And I miss you guys. One upside of being here (aside from much cheaper rent) is that my sleep schedule is normal again. I'm hardly ever up past 2 am now, as opposed to still being awake at 6 or 7. |
